GREEN THUMB
What if you just never knew
Your heart is a greenhouse
Outside
Icy hate, shame bruised sleet,
The gathering dark of apathy
Sure, sure
But
Inside
Just today
A superbloom
A cacophony of
magenta tangerine vermillion
All clamoring for more
The air thick with lavender
And everywhere
Butterflies busy
Pollinating just one thing

This poem is dedicated to
who teaches us all everyday
how love is everything
Lovely. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteIsn't Elissa a treat? We miss her in Telluride
